We all know what mushrooms look like — a stem and a cap. Preserving this instant recognition was crucial, so their silhouettes remained close to their natural forms.
Another limitation was vector graphics. Typically smooth and polished, they often lack the imperfections that make something feel alive. These observations helped me formulate clear conditions for creating these illustrations: to combine the natural and the digital while retaining a sense of vitality.
I searched for textures that resembled natural ones, combined three-dimensional and flat elements, highlighted details that contributed to the overall image, and added chaotic, "unrealistic" nuances.
Enjoy the viewing experience!
